Web28. okt 2024 · During our October 2024 holiday to Cornwall we decided to walk the coast path from Pentewan Sands Beach to Mevagissey with the kids. Our kids are ages seven and four. It was just under 2 miles and probably just enough for them as there was lots of steep hill climbing for their little legs. WebThe wood has historical links with Cornwall’s industrial past as the valley bottom and river corridor areas were once used for tin streaming and associated activities. There are two silted ponds at the southern end of the wood, which at one time were used to hold water that was then released to flush silt from Pentewan harbour.
