WebPCT I-15 to Wrightwood May 2024. We backpacked the Pacific Crest Trail from Interstate 15 to Vincent Gap, near Wrightwood, over the Memorial Day weekend. Being section hikers, we had our choice of direction, so we decided to hike this thirty two mile stretch of trail downhill . Both ways! Web1 hour ago · Usually I hike between 15-20 miles/day on the AT during a week-long section (80-100 miles), so I think I will be ok for this hike. I plan on walking similar distances, at least initially, on the PCT. The snow has me worried, and I don't want to reach the Sierras too fast, so I will probably not push too much in Southern California.
