They aren't as "hot" as you'd think given the rating of 10k/14k. If you want a brutal-esque metal pickup these are not it, if you're thinking big fat swaggering classic rock PAF on roids I would recommend these pups.
WebJan 23, 2009 · 1 - Neck humbucker full-on. 2 - Split Neck combined with Split Bridge. 3 - Bridge rails full-on. I'd say don't go over board on the neck pup, you want it warm not too hot or it will get muddy too fast. What you may want to do is put in a 5 way 4 pole switch and have more pickup options.

The Crunchy PATs made it even better, though they are a fair bit hotter than what I prefer. I thought the bridge FAT PAF was a little hot and bassy, but the neck pickup, while still pretty hot, is clear and snappy in the bridge position.
