Data for the two rounds are not interchangeable; however, a quick burning rifle powder or very slow burning pistol powder suitable for use in the Hornet will work in the 5.7x28. I would disassemble a few 5.7x28 rounds and I would weigh the powder charge. WebNov 1, 2024 · I've settled on one bullet, for all (3) of my centerfire 22 platforms. 5.7 X 28, Armscorp TCM, & .22 Remington Jet. The bullet is the Speer, 33 grain JHP Hornet bullet. With a full case of CFE BLK in the 57 I get approximately 1620 FPS from the Ruger. 1900 FPS from the TCM & 2000 FPS from the Jet.

Adhere closely to recommended load data and specs. It definitely makes shooting this round a lot more affordable and gives you a reason to buy a new oddball caliber!
