The keel was laid on 5 January 1968 at the United States Coast Guard Yard at Curtis Bay, Maryland, and she was commissioned on Coast Guard Day, 4 August 1969. WebThe USCGC Reliance (WMEC-615), the first of the Reliance class, was laid down at the Todd Shipyards, Seattle Washinton, and entered commissioned service in June of 1964. The last ship of the class, USCGC Alert (WMEC-630) was commissioned in August of 1969. There are 16 Reliance-class cutter vessels and we can make any of them.
